Airlie Beach to Marlborough Pub

Woke to rain this morning, puddles everywhere but rain soon stopped ready for us to hitch up & leave Airlie Beach.    We didn’t get too far & the sun came out & suddenly we have 27 deg.

Hard to find a spot for lunch today but eventually drove into St Lawrence & found a nice grassed area where we could sit & have lunch.

Now to find a fuel stop as Tony’s fuel light has come on & lucky there was not one too far away.  On to Marlborough Pub for our next camp.   We were relieved to get there as it felt like a long day today.   There is a big area out the back of the Pub for camping & think there were about 30 vans.  Lucky we were there earlier enough to get a spot.

I had 2 toilet experiences here at this camp - they had 2 small rooms which each contained a toilet, shower & hand basin, I thought I had locked the door, checked that I had, but when sitting there the door suddenly opened & a man’s arm (with dark green T-shirt on) came through.   Don’t think he saw anything but I looked to see who was wearing a green T-shirt at dinner that night.    (He was sitting at the next table). Then I used the toilets in the Pub when we were there for dinner & no locks on the doors.   I was very quick in case someone came in, but when I reached for the toilet paper the whole toilet moved 🤦‍♀️🥴 think I will go in the van till will leave!  No photos of this 🤦‍♀️

Jude & I sat in the sun reading although a little windy at times, not  long  though & got ready to go to the Pub for dinner.    Went over early as there were not many tables to sit at & thought with all these people we wouldn’t get a meal.

Interesting wines here - not much to choose from.   Jude & I managed a good white but the boys weren’t too sure about theirs, especially when they gave them 2 chilled glasses for their red wine 🍷🤦‍♀️   They gave the rest of the bottle of red to a guy at the next table who looked like he would enjoy it 😆🥴

But had a great night, great meal & had fun reading some of the inscriptions written all over the walls.

See if you can see our names, Jenny, Andy, Jude & Dean & Sue & Tony 😆
