1770 Campground - Day 3

Our view this morning having breakfast - can’t get much better than this.   Caught up on my blog & Wordle this morning as we had quite a late night last night!

Chores done Kaye & I took our books & a coffee over to the beach to sit in the sun.   There is always something happening on the beach to watch so not much reading done, but was enjoyable basking in the sun ☀️ 

Tony took advantage of the weather & went paddle boarding to the surf - he had the best day & managed to catch lots of waves so we didn’t see him for quite some time!  He was a very happy man & can’t wait to get out again tomorrow 😆

Back to the van for lunch & a read & because the weather was so good we headed back to the beach!  

Tony joined us on the beach this afternoon but he watched something on his iPad & had ear phones on - I think he was actually happy not listening to Kaye & I talking 🥴🤣

As the weather was so good & campers were heading to the beach to watch the sunset we decided to bring our happy hour drinks back to the beach & enjoy the sunset!

We sat there until the sun went down & headed back to start our fire & cook our steaks 🔥 finished with a coffee & shared our last vanilla slice for dessert 😊

1770 - Day 2

 Up to a beautiful morning & great views of yachts & cruisers sitting in the bay!    Load of washing done & Kaye arrived with vanilla slices for morning tea!   They are the best I have had in all our travels - they were so big we had 1/2 each 🥴🤦‍♀️

Tony decided to go on the paddle board to the surf while Kaye & I sat on the beach talking & reading.  Lots to see on the beach as well! 

Home for lunch & back down the beach 🏖 

We are having a camp oven meal tonight - Beef & Mushroom Ragout, so headed back to get the fire ready & our meal.

Our camp meal turned out great & had quite a few champagnes & wines sitting around the fire 🔥 

Tony eventually went in & watched the Crows & what a game 💙💛❤️

Hervey Bay to 1770 Campground

 Up early for a change as we had a reasonable drive today.   Had some cloud cover & drizzle for the first part of our journey but as we got nearer to 1770 the sun came out 🌞 had an uneventful journey stopping once for diesel & coffee ☕️ We did have one very narrow one-way bridge to drive over 🥴

Arrived at 1770 in time to set up & have a late lunch.    Kaye (our friend from the Dunes) came over to welcome us & sat catching up on her journey so far.   

Our view for the next 8 days 

As it was Kaye’s birthday we decided we would go to the Tavern in Agnes Waters for dinner to celebrate 🥂🍾  a few champagnes at the van first & then dinner.  We all enjoyed a few more champagnes & had a great meal. 

Back to van - bit tired tonight so blog & off to bed & hoping for lots of sunshine tomorrow 🌞🏖🏄‍♀️

Hervey Bay - last day

 Woke to sunny morning - breakfast in the sun & then a few chores.   Food shopping for our next camp & packing every up today.  Amazing what you get out when you are at a camp for more than a few days!    Chat on Facebook to Rochelle & Evan - nice to catch up with both of them ❤️

Happy hour at Enzo’s - one of our favourite places at Hervey Bay - a beautiful place right on the beach not far from where we are camped.

After our happy hour drinks we wandered over to the Beach House Hotel for a meal.  Had a great meal & listened to live music 🎶 while we finished our drinks.   Home for blogging, read & early night ready for our journey tomorrow to 1770 campground 🏖☀️🥂 would have loved to stay longer here - maybe next time 😊

Hervey Bay - Day 3

 Woke to a beautiful sunny day ☀️ After breakfast & clean up, a few odd jobs in the van, chat to the neighbours the other side, we went for a beautiful walk along the beach 🏖 

Great Hotel “Enzo’s” on the beach with lots of people enjoying lunch & a few wines.   We are heading back tonight for happy hour🥂

Back to the van to finish my book in the sun & Tony enjoyed a paddle at the beach in front of us!

Lunch in the sun & then off to the Boat Club for a coffee ☕️ 

A little retail therapy for me & off to BWS for some more wine for me 🥂 we were going to Enzo’s for happy hour but it was closing  🥴 may head there tomorrow 😊 home for happy hour & dinner 🥂🍷

We watched the clouds rolling in so there may be a few more showers tonight ☔️
