Tullebudgera- Windy Day

Woke to a little wind this morning but sat out the van in the sun for breakfast!    Tony, Andy, Dean & Jude decided on a walk around the Burleigh Headland together - Jenny still not 100% & I was going to pick them up at the end of the walk.  I was looking forward to reading my book.

Tony said the walk was very picturesque!

Not much reading done as 10 mins after they left strong winds came up & our awning was trying to take off in the wind.  Jenny had the same problem - she was trying to rest & her awning was doing the same 😵‍💫 after 40 mins of strong winds & worrying about the awning ripping off I called Tony to see if I could pick them up & come back to camp to help!

Tony, Dean & Andy took our awning in & then went over to help Andy with his.

In the meantime a neighbours awning was actually close to ripping off so about 5 men took it down & also secured their tent with their table 🥴

Back home for a rest & lunch - everyone was exhausted.  The wind didn’t ease much so spent the afternoon catching up with stuff in the van & reading.   Just before happy hour our neighbours across the road had trouble keeping some of their annexe up & poles were going everywhere!   Let’s hope tomorrow a better day 😊

Decided to have happy hour in our van as we can fit everyone in, even though the wind had subsided a bit, it was more comfortable inside!    We had lots of laughs & a few wines & beers.  All went back to our own vans to cook dinner tonight!

We are all hoping there is no wind tomorrow 🥴😵‍💫
