Tullebudgera to Scott’s Head

 Early start this morning - all ready to leave by 8.30am but we left a beautiful morning at Tullebudgera!

Jenny & Andy left a little earlier than the rest of us - we caught up with Andy & Jenny whilst Dean & Jude detoured to Emerald Beach to see where Dale will be living.   It was a 5 hour drive today with only a couple of toilet stops & Andy got fuel but we all ended up at Scott’s Head around the same time for a late lunch!

We followed Andy for most of the day!  Traffic not too bad!

After lunch we all wandered over to the beach to check out the surf & show Andy & Jenny the beach (they haven’t been here before).   

As Jenny & I were walking to the beach we came across a 15 month old little boy wandering in the carpark with just a nappy on & looked scared.  With 2 other women we started looking for the mother & became aware there was also a small baby in a baby capsule who had been on the beach for a few hours with just a towel over the top to protect it from the sun.  To a cut a long story short Jenny called the police to get a welfare check on the children in case they had been neglected 😵‍💫 Unfortunately they were 45 mins away & the family had started to pack up before the police came so we didn’t find out if they were spoken to 😱

We all headed back to Jenny & Andy’s van for happy hour tonight & then back to our vans to cook dinner & watch the soccer.
